A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

We discovered additional issues with the Amiga OS4 version, which is currently unavailable for download.

Please bear with us while we solve the problem.

Please note:

Since the game's rightful owner, a good guy and awesome friend, sadly passed away a while ago, this page only offers the game's free demo versions. We are in touch with his brother, and players will be notified when the full game will be available for purchase again.

Introduction:

Inspired by classics such as "Monkey Island" and "Broken Sword", intriguing and seductive like a "Twin Peaks" parody, "The Secret of Middle City" is an adventure that takes place in a typical North American mountain town and sees the protagonist, the goofy and clumsy Federal Agent Cox, strive among mysteries and false leads in order to solve a weird case of presumed homicide.

Install instructions

Please refer to the Release Notes for detailed information about how to install, run, play, and uninstall the game.

Saving the game

The game can be saved from the in-game menu or before exiting to the main menu. There is no autosave feature, so always quit the game properly.

Please Note:

On recent versions of Windows, the game may not start when selecting the "Full screen (best fit)" option. Please use "Windowed" option, instead.

EDITED: We just found out that the game crashes on Amiga OS4.1.3, with an error message related to MP3 problems. If you are experiencing such a situation, download the Ogg Vorbis plugin above, decompress the archive, navigate to the ppc-amigaos folder, and copy the oggvorbis.hwp plugin into the game folder.
